Terms of Service

About These Terms

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Dokotec OÜ, a company registered in Estonia (registered office: Sepapaja 6, 15551 Tallinn, Estonia). In these terms, "we", "us", and "our" refer to Dokotec OÜ, and "the Service" refers to GeoTag.com, the app at app.geotag.com, and the GeoTag mobile apps. By creating an account or using the Service — including free accounts, guest sessions, and viewing content through a shared link — you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

GeoTag is a platform for uploading, organizing, geotagging, processing, sharing, and exporting photos and videos by geographic location. We improve the Service continuously and may add, change, or remove features over time.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app before they take effect, and you may cancel your subscription before that date if you do not agree. Minor changes (such as clarifications) are posted here with an updated date. Using the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

Your Account

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

Your Content

You keep full ownership of everything you upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, back up, reproduce, process (for example creating thumbnails and previews, converting formats, and extracting metadata), and display your content — solely to operate the Service for you and for the people you choose to share it with. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to the backup expiry described in the Privacy Policy. We claim no other rights to your content and will not use it for anything else without asking you.

Your Responsibilities

You must have the necessary rights to the content you upload, and you are responsible for what you share and with whom — including the location information your photos contain.

Keep Your Originals

Depending on your plan, uploads may be compressed or converted, and the original files may not be retained. GeoTag is not a backup service — always keep your own copies of irreplaceable photos and videos.

Copyright Complaints

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, email support@geotag.com with a link to the content, a description of the work infringed, your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use is unauthorized. We review complaints promptly and remove infringing content, and we terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

The Rules

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• use it for any unlawful purpose or to store or share unlawful content, or to violate anyone else's rights — including publishing other people's location data without their consent
• upload malware, probe or breach security measures, or interfere with the operation of the Service
• circumvent plan limits, authentication, or access controls, or access other users' data without permission
• resell the Service, use it as a generic file host or CDN, or place abusive load on it through automated bulk scraping or similar means

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, with prior notice where practicable.

Plans & Prices

Current plans and prices are listed on our pricing page in the app. The exact price and billing period are shown at checkout before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices may be subject to taxes such as VAT or sales tax depending on your location.

Free Trial & Automatic Renewal

Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial — cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing. After the trial, your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel.

Cancellation & Refunds

You can cancel anytime in your account settings — no email or phone call needed. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: you keep access until then, and we do not refund partial periods. If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, you additionally have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal — contact us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full.

Price Changes & Non-Payment

If we change the price of your plan, we will notify you at least 30 days before your next renewal, and you can cancel before the new price applies. If a renewal payment fails and cannot be collected, we may downgrade your account to the free plan. Free plan limits are described on the pricing page and may change over time.

Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time, and you can have your account deleted at any time by contacting support@geotag.com — we process deletion requests within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate your account for a material breach of these terms, unlawful use, non-payment, or a genuine risk to the Service or its users — with prior notice where practicable. We may also close free accounts that have been inactive for more than 12 months, with at least 30 days' notice by email. After termination, your data is deleted on the schedule described in the Privacy Policy — export anything you need first.

No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind and do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. If you are a consumer in the EU, nothing in this section limits your statutory rights regarding the conformity of digital services.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, or data, and our total liability arising out of these terms or the Service is capped at the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or €50. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law, and nothing deprives consumers of their mandatory statutory rights.

Governing Law & Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Estonian courts (Harju County Court in Tallinn). If you use the Service as a consumer, this does not deprive you of the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence, or of the right to bring proceedings in your home courts where the law provides for it. If something goes wrong, talk to us first — most issues can be resolved with an email.

Miscellany

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, and not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. We may assign this agreement in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of the Service; you may not assign it without our consent.
